Bei einem üblichen Rennen fährt jeder mit seinem eigenen Auto auf jeder Spur. Bei Poolrennen bleiben die Autos in ihrer eigenen Spur und sind deshalb in Bahnfarbe lackiert. Nur die Fahrer wechseln von Spur zu Spur.
